Intro
If you could do me a favour before communicating through my work,
Try to stay away from your existing eyes.
The moment you move away from your eyes, you will be able to be nature itself.
It's actually rooted not limited in my paintings but also in the ancient philosophy of East Asia's perspective on facing paintings.
So we use our whole body and mind to focus our moments in a "permeable" state in which two different physical states are respectfully harmonious.
Sometimes it can be paper and ancient Korean ink, or it can be a mineral powder and a wet brush to hold it. Finally, it's also a state where I and the stars in the sky coexist for an instant beyond the canvas.
In order to be intact in these moments, I must become it and permeate each other, so I must always be freed from the self I believed in.
But if I have to leave myself with one thing in all of this, it's the "Stroke." This is because it is the simplest and most powerful language in the world about direction.
